Soulmate Acoustic Pedal Board
our Entire Acoustic Rig at Your Feet
Preamp. EQ. Compression. Modulation. Delay. Reverb. Boost. Tuner. Looper. DI.
The T-Rex SoulMate Acoustic is an all-in-one performance pedalboard designed specifically for acoustic guitar.
Instead of building a board from separate pedals, preamps, tuners, loopers, and DI boxes, SoulMate Acoustic brings the essential tools of a professional acoustic signal chain into one integrated floor unit.
Plug in your guitar. Shape the tone. Control feedback. Add the effects you need. Send a balanced signal to the PA. And keep everything under your feet.
Built Around the Acoustic Guitar
Acoustic amplification has a different job than electric-guitar effects.
The goal is not to replace the character of the instrument. It is to support it.
SoulMate Acoustic combines a high-quality FET preamp with selectable input impedance, phase control, parametric EQ, compression, effects, and feedback suppression so you can shape the amplified sound while retaining the personality of the guitar itself.
FET Preamp + High/Low Impedance Selection
The input stage is designed to accommodate different acoustic pickup systems.
Selectable input impedance lets SoulMate Acoustic work effectively with a variety of passive and active acoustic pickups, while the phase switch gives you another powerful tool for optimizing the relationship between the guitar, stage monitors, and room.
3-Band Parametric EQ
Rooms change.
Stages change.
Acoustic guitars change.
SoulMate Acoustic gives you a three-band parametric equalizer for precise control over the frequency balance of your instrument.
Use it to:
- reduce boominess;
- add clarity;
- tame an aggressive pickup;
- compensate for a difficult room;
- make the amplified instrument sit naturally in the mix.
This is considerably more useful for acoustic performance than a simple bass/mid/treble tone stack.
Automatic Feedback Suppression
Feedback is one of the realities of amplified acoustic instruments.
SoulMate Acoustic includes automatic feedback suppression, giving the performer a fast way to address a problematic feedback frequency without having to rebuild the entire EQ curve.
That makes it especially useful on live stages where monitor position, room acoustics, and volume can change from venue to venue.
Full-Band Compressor
The onboard compressor helps control peaks and create a more even, polished acoustic signal.
Use it subtly to smooth performance dynamics or more aggressively when you want additional consistency and sustain.
The goal is control without making the acoustic guitar feel flat or lifeless.
Classic Chorus and Detune
The Modulation section provides classic chorus and detune effects designed to widen and enrich the instrument rather than overwhelm it.
A little modulation can add dimension to fingerstyle passages, arpeggios, 12-string-style textures, and spacious accompaniment.
Warm Delay with Tap Tempo
SoulMate Acoustic includes a warm delay with Tap Tempo, making it easy to synchronize repeats to the song in real time.
Use it for:
- subtle depth;
- rhythmic accompaniment;
- spacious fingerstyle passages;
- lead lines;
- ambient textures.
Dedicated controls keep the effect immediate and performance friendly.
Hall Reverb + Shimmer
The onboard Hall reverb adds natural space around the acoustic guitar, while the Shimmer function can take the sound into more atmospheric territory.
An optional expression pedal can control the shimmer amount in real time, making it possible to move from a natural acoustic ambience into expansive textures during a performance.
Post-Effects Boost
The dedicated Boost sits after the effects chain, allowing you to raise the overall level for solos, featured passages, or instrument changes without altering your carefully balanced effect settings.
Ultra-Fast Chromatic Tuner
A built-in chromatic tuner keeps another pedal off the floorboard and gives you immediate access to accurate tuning during a performance.
5+ Minute Stereo Looper
SoulMate Acoustic also includes a stereo looper with more than five minutes of recording time.
T-Rex specifies approximately 5.8 minutes of maximum loop time, with 24-bit processing and 32-bit floating-point internal processing.
Use it to:
- build accompaniment;
- layer rhythm and melody;
- create intros and outros;
- develop ambient textures;
- perform solo arrangements.
And because the looper is already built into the board, there is no additional pedal, cabling, or power supply to manage.
Stereo Outputs + Balanced DI
SoulMate Acoustic is built to function as the center of a professional live acoustic rig.
It provides both conventional line outputs and balanced DI outputs, allowing you to feed an amplifier, PA system, recording interface, or multiple destinations directly from the pedalboard.
That can eliminate the need for a separate DI box on stage.
Expression Control
SoulMate Acoustic supports external expression control for:
- Master volume
- Reverb shimmer
That gives you real-time performance control without taking your hands off the guitar.

Power Budget
12V DC / up to 560mA
SoulMate Acoustic is a complete digital/analog acoustic processing system and requires substantially more power than a traditional stompbox.
Because it can draw up to 560mA at 12V DC, we would recommend using the included T-Rex power supply.
Building a Larger Pedalboard?
If you're integrating SoulMate Acoustic into a larger pedalboard, however, the FuelTank Chameleon gives you another option.
Using two compatible Chameleon outputs set for 12V DC and the proper T-Rex current-doubling cable, you can combine two 300mA outputs for a 600mA current budget—enough to power the SoulMate Acoustic's maximum 560mA requirement.
The remaining compatible Chameleon outputs can then be used to power additional pedals on the same board such as; a volume pedal, specialty pedals, a wireless receiver, extra delay, etc. Instead of running the SoulMate from its included wall supply and then adding another power supply or multiple adapters for everything else, the Chameleon can become the centralized power source for the entire board.
