Roommate D'Luxe Tube Driven Reverb
Tube-Driven Reverb with Real Depth and Warmth
Real tube signal path. Eight reverb algorithms. Shimmer with expression control. Handmade in Denmark.
The T-Rex RoomMate D’Luxe is the third generation of one of the company’s most distinctive reverb designs.
At its heart is a real tube-driven signal path that adds warmth, softness, and harmonic color to the reverb instead of treating ambience as a purely digital effect. The result is a reverb that feels musical, responsive, and connected to the instrument.
Reverb Is More Than an Effect
Reverb creates the space around your sound.
RoomMate D’Luxe is designed to make that space feel natural and playable—from a tight room or vintage spring to a large hall or expansive shimmer.
The tube stage adds a gentle harmonic character to the signal, helping the effect feel less detached from the dry guitar and more like part of the overall tone.
Eight Reverb Algorithms
RoomMate D’Luxe provides eight reverb algorithms, giving you a broad palette of traditional and atmospheric sounds. T-Rex specifically highlights classic Room, Spring, Plate, Hall, and Shimmer territory in the current design.
Use shorter settings for subtle ambience and dimension, or extend the decay into larger, more immersive spaces.
Vintage Spring Character
The Spring mode is designed to capture the lively character of classic amplifier spring reverb.
Keep the decay shorter for a tighter, splashier response.
Increase it for a longer, more expansive spring sound.
It is especially well suited to:
- Surf
- Rockabilly
- Roots
- Blues
- Vintage-inspired clean tones
Shimmer Under Your Foot
RoomMate D’Luxe adds a dedicated Shimmer reverb mode, and the Shimmer amount can be controlled with an external expression pedal.
That means you can start with a conventional reverb and gradually bring the shimmer into the sound while you play.
Use it subtly for lift and dimension, or push it into wide, floating ambient textures.
Simple, Musical Controls
RoomMate D’Luxe gives you direct control over the parameters that matter most.
DECAY
Controls how long the reverb continues.
TONE
Lets you warm or brighten the reverb character.
MIX / LEVEL
Determines how strongly the effect sits around the dry signal.
MODE
Selects the reverb algorithm.
The layout is designed to stay immediate and musical rather than forcing you through menus or preset systems.
Real Tube-Driven Sound Technology
The defining feature of the RoomMate family is the real tube in the signal path.
Earlier RoomMate designs operated the tube internally at high voltage, and T-Rex continues to position the D’Luxe around its tube-driven sound technology.
That tube stage contributes warmth and natural compression to the overall response, giving RoomMate D’Luxe a different feel from a conventional digital reverb pedal.
Built for Players Who Want Reverb to Feel Like Part of the Amp
RoomMate D’Luxe is especially useful for:
- Amplifiers without built-in reverb
- Players who want more control than an onboard spring tank
- Vintage-style rigs
- Ambient guitar
- Studio pedalboards
- Players who want real tube character in the effects chain
It can cover subtle always-on ambience just as comfortably as large atmospheric sounds.

Power Budget
12V DC / 600mA
RoomMate D’Luxe draws considerably more current than a conventional low-current stompbox, largely because of its tube-driven architecture.
The correct T-Rex 12V DC power supply is included with the pedal, so it is ready to use out of the box. T-Rex’s current replacement supply provides 12V DC at 1A and is specifically listed as compatible with RoomMate.
The Power Budget rule still applies:
Match the voltage.
Match AC or DC.
Match the polarity.
Make sure enough current is available.
A 12V output capable of only 300mA or 500mA does not provide enough current budget for a 600mA pedal.

Handcrafted in Denmark
RoomMate D’Luxe is designed and hand-built in Denmark.
That makes it part of the more ambitious side of the T-Rex line: a product that combines modern reverb processing with real tube circuitry and hands-on Danish construction.
Give Your Sound a Room to Live In
Some reverbs simply add an effect behind the guitar.
RoomMate D’Luxe is designed to make the space itself part of the tone.
Warm tube character.
Classic reverb sounds.
Modern shimmer.
Immediate control.
