The Legendary T-Rex Delay, Reimagined

True stereo delay. Analog feel. Modern control.

The T-Rex Replica is back.

One of the most celebrated pedals in T-Rex history has been rebuilt with a more powerful digital engine while preserving the immediacy, dynamics, and simplicity that made the original Replica so loved.

At its heart, Replica combines high-performance digital delay processing with an analog direct signal path and analog feedback circuit—giving you precise delay control without losing the feel of your core guitar tone.

Vintage or Modern

Replica gives you two distinct delay personalities.

Vintage

Vintage mode passes the repeats through a compressor/expander circuit based on the first-generation Replica design.

The result is smoother, softer, more dynamic repeats with the familiar character associated with the original pedal.

Modern

Modern mode opens the sound up.

The repeats are clearer, more direct, and more articulate—ideal when you want rhythmic definition or a cleaner contemporary delay texture.

Two modes.

Two different ways to sit behind the dry signal.

True Stereo Delay

Replica is a true stereo delay, with left and right inputs and outputs for expansive stereo rigs.

Use it in a traditional mono setup, or take advantage of stereo operation for wider ambient sounds, dual-amplifier rigs, and more complex signal chains.

Tap Tempo and Note Divisions

Set your delay time instantly with the dedicated Tap Tempo footswitch.

Then use the Note Divider to choose between:

  • Quarter notes
  • Triplets
  • Dotted eighths

That makes Replica equally comfortable with simple slapback, spacious repeats, rhythmic delay patterns, and tempo-locked live performance.

Shape the Repeats

Replica gives you direct control over the parameters that matter most:

ECHO
Controls the amount of delay.

REPEAT
Sets the number and intensity of repeats.

TEMPO
Sets the delay time manually.

VOLUME
Controls overall output level.

INPUT GAIN
Lets you optimize the input level for your instrument and signal chain.

HI-CUT
Rolls high frequencies out of the repeats for a warmer, darker delay sound.

VINTAGE / MODERN
Selects the character of the delay repeats.

NOTE DIVIDER
Selects quarter-note, triplet, or dotted-eighth timing.

MIDI Ready

Replica includes MIDI connectivity for integration into more sophisticated pedalboards and switching systems.

Supported functions include:

  • MIDI control
  • MIDI clock
  • Tap tempo synchronization
  • Bypass control

That gives Replica the flexibility to live equally well on a straightforward pedalboard or at the center of a more advanced MIDI-controlled rig.

Analog Where It Matters

Replica’s delay engine is digital.

But your direct signal and feedback circuit remain analog.

That design approach is central to the Replica philosophy: use digital processing where precision and flexibility are valuable, while preserving the immediacy and dynamic response of the original signal path.

Power Budget

9V DC / 145mA

Replica requires more current than many traditional analog pedals, so this is a good example of why understanding your pedalboard power budget matters.

  • FuelTank Classic: compatible as long as the combined draw of all pedals connected to the shared 9V section remains within the 500mA total budget.
  • FuelTank Junior: not suitable on a single output because each output provides 120mA, less than Replica’s 145mA requirement.
  • FuelTank Chameleon: compatible from a properly configured 9V output with sufficient current capacity.

A T-Rex Original

Replica became one of the pedals that helped establish T-Rex as a serious effects company.

The current version keeps the essential idea intact:

great delay should be powerful without becoming complicated.

Choose Vintage or Modern. Set the tempo. Shape the repeats.

Then play.
