The T-Rex Current Doubler Adapter allows two compatible isolated power-supply outputs to work together, providing additional available current for pedals that require more than a single output can supply.

The voltage remains the same while the available current from the two outputs is combined.

Available in two lengths: 8" and 26.5".

How It Works

Connect the two male plugs to two isolated outputs set to the same voltage, then connect your pedal’s normal power cable to the female connector.

For example:

Two compatible 12V / 300mA isolated outputs can provide up to approximately 12V / 600mA when used together.

This makes the Current Doubler particularly useful for higher-current digital pedals, multi-effects units, and other devices that require more current than a single power output can provide.

Important: This Does Not Double Voltage

The Current Doubler combines available current, not voltage.

Both power-supply outputs should:

• Be isolated from one another
• Be set to the same voltage
• Provide the correct AC/DC type for the pedal
• Be used with the correct polarity

If your pedal requires a higher voltage, use the appropriate voltage-doubling solution instead.

Power Budget

Think of current as part of your pedalboard’s available power budget.

If a pedal needs 500mA but one isolated output can provide only 300mA, combining two compatible 300mA outputs can provide sufficient available current while maintaining the required voltage.
